Эндрю Дэвид Ламберт (англ. Andrew David Lambert; ^{[Нет даты!]}) — британский военно-морской историк. С 2001 года является профессором военно-морской истории имени Лотона на кафедре военных исследований Королевского колледжа Лондона.

Академическая карьера

После завершения докторского исследования Ламберт был преподавателем современной международной истории в Бристольском политехническом институте с 1983 по 1987 год. С 1987 по 1989 год работал консультантом на кафедре истории и международных отношений в Королевском военно-морском колледже в Гринвиче. С 1989 по 1991 год был старшим преподавателем военных исследований в Королевской военной академии в Сандхерсте. С 1996 по 1999 год работал старшим преподавателем на кафедре военных исследований Королевского колледжа Лондона, затем с 1999 по 2001 год — профессором военно-морской истории. Работа Ламберта сосредоточена на военно-морской и стратегической истории Британской империи в период между Наполеоновскими войнами и Первой мировой войной, а также на раннем развитии военно-морской исторической литературы. Его исследования охватывают ряд вопросов, включая технологии, выработку политики, региональную безопасность, сдерживание, историографию, управление кризисами и конфликты.

Он читал лекции по аспектам своей работы в Австралии, Канаде, Финляндии, Дании и России. В 2004 году написал сценарий и выступил ведущим телевизионного сериала War at Sea для BBC.

Награды и премии

• 1 мая 2014 года награждён медалью Андерсона от Общества морских исследований за книгу The Challenge: Britain against America in the Naval War of 1812 (Faber and Faber 2012).
